summer lace
Queen Anne, Queen Anne, has washed her lace
(She chose a summer's day)
And hung it in a grassy place
To whiten, if it may.
Queen Anne, Queen Anne, has left it there,
And slept the dewy night;
Then waked, to find the sunshine fair,
And all the meadows white. (by Mary Leslie Newton)
I came across some beautiful photography of Queen Anne's Lace wildflowers (Daucus carota) by Brian Johnston

Very pretty flowers ...
Do they grow wild ???
Did you get to run like the wild through them ????

How did you guess.
Skippy favorite thing is to run through a field of wildflowers!
Especially if they are nice and tall. Then he bounds like a rabbit and comes out covered with seeds of all types.
