Frogs by the pond: Bullfrog (Rana catesbeiana), copper-painted frog (Rana cuprum) and cement frog (Rana caementa). Well, actually, only the second two frogs are by my backyard pond. The first is at the town pond. Every year my son catches tadpoles and puts them in our pond, but we never get frogs. I suppose the tadpoles become koi snacks.
